Who are Dr. Chin and Dr. Royer?
Dr. Chin and Dr. Royer have been providing quality care in the Columbus, GA area since 2000.
Dr. Linda Chin hails from Chesapeake, Virginia and earned her undergraduate degree at the College of William and Mary, where she majored in Biology and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She then attended Eastern Virginia Medical School where she decided that Family Practice was the right specialty for her. From there she attended residency at Riverside Family Practice in Newport News, Virginia where she met Dr. Royer. The two have been working together ever since.
Raised in Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Bayley Royer earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton University where he majored in Classics and graduated with Honors. Following a brief stint with the Management Associate Program at MetLife in New York City, Dr. Royer headed to Medical School at the Medical College of Virginia. He then began his Family Practice Residency at Riverside Family Practice in Newport News, Virginia.
Together, Dr. Royer and Dr Chin have earned national recognition for their creative Asthma Education program, Wheeze Wars. They were selected by their peers and faculty to serve as Chief Residents in 1999-2000 at Riverside Regional Medical Center and were honored to supervise nearly 50 residents at one of the nation's oldest Family Practice Residency programs.
Since moving to Columbus, GA in 2000, Dr Chin and Dr. Royer have developed a large and loyal following of patients and their practice continues to grow. They have participated in local Tar Wars programs and a local Physician Leadership Forum. In addition, the doctors have made numerous presentations at local hospitals, assisted living facilities, schools and businesses on topics ranging from Hypertension to Depression and Dementia. The two have also made TV appearances to discuss current health-related issues on each of the local news networks.
